Caller tunes!!!!!

Recently i got see the ad of Tata DOCOMO about their "MyTunes" and then i realized the whole idea of caller tunes is so bizarre. I seriously doubt whether caller tune was intended product or just a goofed up software which was well received and the rest is history.
Just think about it, I pay to a company per month to have a song which i can never hear (unless i am a real psychotic) and guy who will get to hear the song has no control over it whether the poor guy likes it or not......is it one of the sadistic tools??

my question would be then what purpose the caller tunes might sever if any at all

After a long long time, a song that i can keep listening to.......awesome lyrics ably supported by more than outstanding music, the music brings breath of fresh air and cuts through the clutter. I had no idea that the song has been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan until i came across the piece of information through some article. I, especially like the way the music suddenly picks up at 4:50 minutes when you are expecting the song to end and it runs for another 30 odd seconds..........Bow to the master called Vishal Bhardwaj

Joy, tradition and business

Traditionally there are three major events in a person's life when community/ family comes together and money is spent as per the (perceived) status of the person/ family under consideration

1. Birth of a child and ensuing celebrations (so many social events)
2. Marriage, perhaps the biggest of the three, big fat indian wedding (perhaps because two families are involved)
3. Death; yes even death is such a good business proposition for many starting from Pandit to the halwaai

Ig Nobel awards for stupid science
